The reform of the trading system in New Spain at the end of the 18th century

The report focuses on the trading system in the New Spain on the eve of the War of Independence, ideas of Spanish economists, aimed at reviving the economy and the development of a new system of economic relations with Spain. The author analyzes the process of reforming the colonial trading system in the New Spain, the introduction of "free trade" as one of the trends of the policy of "enlightened absolutism" of the Spanish Bourbons in the second half of XVIII century. The paper examines the decline of trade monopoly the capital of the New Spain, Mexico, the formation of new economic ties of Mexico during the late colonial period.
