摘要
The field produced by a circular ring source, corresponding to the noise generated by a fixed radial station of a rotating propeller, is considered. Asymptotic analysis for large blade number is used to give different solutions for the various regions in this field, and for different source radii. The transitions between regions are carefully studied. The asymptotic solutions are compared with the numerically evaluated solution. Finally. these formulae are used to find the near field thickness noise of a supersonically rotating propeller in the quiet zone.
