摘要
This study aims to assess individual perceptions of people about the important relationship between the use of fossil energy and its contributions to accelerate climate change processes. Thus, the objective was to promote reflections to make consumption more conscious, without waste and worried about global environmental issues and local by encouraging the use of alternative energy in the production of goods that are consumed by the population. The research process was conducted through the development of questionnaires on the subject, being applied to a population sample corresponding areas of the municipalities of Erechim, RS and its surroundings. After the interviews, promoted the data analysis based graphics generation of histograms. As a result, it appears that there are different perceptions about the theme, and it often does not relate global climate change with the actions of everyday life, such as energy waste, waste generation and use of energy derived from fuel fossil for transportation of people and products manufactured. The study demonstrates the importance of continuous discussion on the topic to cause impairment in daily actions, mainly related to the increase in consumption of industrial goods generated from alternative energy sources and thus, form, not contributors intensification of global climate change, which also affect the entire population at the local level.
