摘要：
This study attends to the contributions to the academic literary canon of the illustrated album titled "La Composicion" by Antonio Skarmeta, with illustrations by Alfonso Ruano, one of the Chilean children's literature essential works which deals with topics such as dictatorship and repression. This literary work, with a distinctive historical nature, benefits the reader's reflection due to the reality reflected on it, and the symbolism of the element by which it is conformed. Both the account and the illustrations lead the reader to get involved in the story, feeling the characters' fear, sadness, and affection as their own.
