摘要
Transgenic soybean (Glycine max L.) plants derived from electric discharge particle acceleration experiments exhibited varying degrees of chimerism which was followed by the expression of the introduced β-glucuronidase (gus) gene. Degrees of chimerism in transgenic plants were established by determining expression of the gus gene observed as blue spots, streaks or sectors in stem and leaf tissues in in vitro grown plantlets and greenhouse plants. Clonal plants were also obtained. Presence of the gene was confirmed by Southern blot analysis. These studies permitted the reconstruction of a partial picture for the development of the soybean plant. © 1990 Annals of Botany Company.
