Transition from Secondary Education to University in the students of the titles of teacher of Infantile and Primary Education of the University of Jaen

摘要
This article analyses the perception of students of the Degree in Childhood Education and Primary Education at Jaen University (Spain) about their difficulties to become part of the new academic and social reality. A descriptive and experimental study with a sample of 285 students selected through a simple systematic sampling without fixation. Survey composed of: 67 men (23.6%), 218 women (76.0%); 140 from Infant Education (48.8%), 143 from Primary Education (49.8%). This study intends to comprehend the perception of freshman students who major in Infant Education and Primary Education, as well as their transition from school to college. The analysis shows that men have more difficulties than women to access campus' services; those who don't reside in their family home show more social skills: they are good at making new friends, teamwork or interacting with their professors. Infant Education students can easily make new friends, help others, have an aptitude for teamwork and understanding university's information.
