摘要
The electronic and magnetic structures of NiFe3N are calculated by the augmented spherical wave method. The character of the binding is mainly covalent for the nitrogen-iron bonds and metallic between the iron-nickel atoms. Itinerant magnetism occurs for the iron sublattice and more localized moments appear at nickel causing different pressure effects.
