VARIATION OF FREQUENCY CHIRP WITH WAVELENGTH IN AN INGAASP INP MULTIPLE-QUANTUM-WELL (MQW) WAVE-GUIDE ELECTROABSORPTION MODULATOR

摘要
We measured the frequency chirp parameter alpha-c for an InGaAsP/InP MQW waveguide modulator at wavelengths between 1509 and 1545 nm. In this range, \alpha-c\ achieves a minimum value of 0.6, the lowest reported value for an MQW electroabsorption modulator.
