摘要
Ion beam mixing of Cu/Ti bilayers with 330 keV Xe+ and Ar+ ions is investigated by Rutherford backscattering, X-ray diffraction and high-voltage transmission electron microscopy. Irradiation induces the formation of solid solutions, supersaturated solid solutions and an amorphous phase as a function of the ion fluence. temperature during mixing and ion mass. The evolution of metastable phases is discussed in the context of the free energy concept and kinetic constraints.
