Vasculitis is defined as inflammation and necrosis of the blood vessels. Involvement of arteries and, sometimes, veins of various sizes and in different locations throughout the body is possible and results in a diversity of signs and symptoms. Vasculitis may be a primary process, or it may occur secondary to a systemic infectious, rheumatic, allergic, or neoplastic disease. A review of the world literature reveals a total of 200 cases of vasculitis in patients with cancer.1-92
