摘要：

In november 1989, 27 french clinical microbiology laboratories participated to a national survey considering mechanism of resistance in Gram negative bacilli to ceftazidime. 4660 clinical strains have been studied. Pseudomonas aeruginosa has been isolated in 12 % of all cases. Escherichia coli has been isolated in 50 % of all cases. 37 % of the enterobacteriaceae strains produce penicillinase. Besides the well known activity of third generation cephalosporins on enterobacteriaceae, ceftazidime offers a spectrum increased to P. aeruginosa. 16 strains produce extended spectrum betalactamase.
