Revision of the tape used in a tape-lift protocol for DNA recovery

摘要
Because of discontinuation of the production of the tape used in a tape-lifting method for the collection of human cell material from textiles, we examined 12 alternative tapes. After several selection steps focusing on practical handling aspects, two candidate tapes were identified. Performance tests learned that one new tape performs at least as well as the former tape, and this tape was selected for implementation in casework. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ireland Ltd.
