摘要
Radioactive carbon dioxide production from pyruvate and lactate by the rabbit preimplantation embryo is relatively unchanged from ovulation to day 2 of development. After day 2, the CO2 production increases markedly up to the time of implantation. The early embryo oxidizes pyruvate to a greater extent than lactate, and is able to oxidize both to a much greater extent than has been shown for glucose. © 1969.
