摘要
The effect of methylmalonyl CoA on δ-aminolevulinic acid synthetase has been investigated. Methylmalonyl CoA has been shown to act as an abnormal substrate for this enzyme but does not inhibit the formation of δ-aminolevulinic acid from succinyl CoA. The product of the condensation of methylmalonyl CoA and glycine appears to be an aminoketoacid and it is suggested that it is a chain isomer of δ-aminolevulinic acid. © 1969.
