摘要
Starting from the knowledge of corrosion processes in glass at high temperatures, several palladium-base alloys, which are less costly than platinum or Pt Rh alloys used at the present time in glass-works, were prepared and tested in lead glass and E glass. Alloys under scrutiny were binary or ternary Pd Pt, Pd Ag, Pd Rh, Pd Pt Rh then Pd Sn and Pd Pt Sn alloys with 8 to 15 weight % Sn for which the layer of SnO2 oxide is a diffusion barrier.
