摘要
A tokamak accelerated-electron beam diagnostic technique is discussed. The technique comprises the investigation of synchrotron and collective microwave radiation frequency spectra, and a study of the X-ray energy spectrum due to the beam. The technique was used on the TUMAN-3 tokamak. The inductive electric field, increased at the plasma periphery during the current ramp-up. It was shown to initiate a circular beam of accelerated electrons. The efficient eddy field value was estimated from the X-ray photons energy maximal value and from the time interval between the synchrotron radiation and X-ray flashes. The current and toroidal magnetic field ramp-ups, accompanied by a continuous gas puffing, initiated a circular current beam with carriers decelerated as a result of the plasma oscillations excitation anomalous Doppler effect. The beam contributed to the H mode transition. Some beam parameter evaluations are presented.
