摘要
Thermal convection through a saturated porous medium in a two-dimensional cavity heated from below is studied with the use of a regular perturbation expansion in terms of Darcy-Rayleigh number (Ra) using the bifurcation theory techniques. Terms up to order 34 are computed In particular, the Nusselt number (Nu) is expressed as a power series of Ra for the unicellular and multicellular flow. The above power series has, however, a limited radius of convergence, convergence. An estimation of this latter and a study of the character of the power series are used to extend its range of utility.
