摘要
This chapter is designed to provide a guideline for the development of a functional rehabilitation program. The main objective of functional rehabilitation is the restoration of functional stability and a return to preinjury levels of activity. Functional stability and a return to preinjury levels of activity. Functional stability refers to the integration of both primary and secondary joint stabilizers to permit normal kinematics during dynamic activities. The objectives of functional rehabilitation are achieved through the enhancement of agility, proprioception, and neuromuscular control. Sport-specific activities are also incorporated to prepare the athlete for full return to sport activity.
