摘要
Approaches for optimizing measurements of transient signals in ICP-MS are evaluated. The characteristics of noise in ICP-MS are described and a model was developed to predict noise as a function of signal strength, which could be used to evaluate the effect of various parameters on transient signal measurement. The effects of transient signal integration width, along with quadrupole scan speed and scan mode, were assessed.
