摘要
Trivalent lanthanide chelates of the type [Ln(L)Cl] (where Ln = Nd or Sm, LH2 = Schiff bases derived by the condensation of acetylacetone, benzoylacetone or dibenzoylmethane with S-Methyl or Benzyl Dithiocarbazate) have been synthesized by the reactions of anhydrous lanthanide(III) clordie with Schiff bases in anhydrous ethanol. The chelates have been characterized by elemental analysis, electrical conductance, magnetic moment and spectral (infrared and electronic) studies. The IR spectra suggest the coordination of ligand molecules through the thiolo sulphur atom, the nitrogen atom of the azomethine group and the deprotonated oxygen atom of the hydroxy group. The complexes are presumed to have an oxygen-bridged structure.
