摘要
The phenomenon of self-presentation attracts a lot of researchers who try to understand its content and the specifics of its display in various human activities. The paper reviews modern theoretical approaches to the issue and outlines the approach developed by the author, in which self-presentation is regarded as an integral part of any social interaction. The results of the theoretical and empirical investigations carried out by the author provide for a wider understanding of self-presentation as a complex social psychological phenomenon and for elimination of the 'narrow', stereotype notions about its consciously manipulative character.
