摘要：

Amyloid deposition in the myocardium, with or without the involvement of other organs, is an infiltrative cardiomyopathy, which can sometimes mimic hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The careful and rational assessment of complementary methods allows precise diagnosis. Cardiac amyloidosis prognosis is not good and it depends on the type of amyloid, availability and treatment response. A patient who for years was seen as a carrier of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, with final histologic diagnosis of cardiac amyloidosis is reported.
