摘要
A unified theoretical description of the phenomenon of interlayer exchange coupling between ferromagnetic films separated by a paramagnetic spacer layer is proposed, in which the coupling is expressed in terms of the spin-asymmetry of the reflection at the paramagnetic-ferromagnetic interfaces. General expressions of the coupling constants are derived, both for the usual bilinear (Heisenberg) coupling and for the biquadratic term.
