摘要
Isatins are the important class of heterocyclic scaffolds which occupied a great role in the drug discovery. In the present study we synthesized Bis isatin derivatives(IIIa-f) and confirmed by physical and spectral data.compounds are evaluated for CNS activties (viz: gross behavioural study, locomotor activity, anticonvulsant activity) and antioxidant activty. We found that all the synthesised compounds are free from toxicity and toxic symptoms. Resulting pertaining to this study will be summerized in this paper. Compound IIIf (R = -OCH3) showed comparatively more anticonvulsant activity with 80% protection from MES induced convulsions compared to standard drug Phenytoin. All compounds have exhibited significant binding affinity against the glutamate receptor.Copyright (c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
