摘要
The eigenvalues of a lumped parameter, straight-line torsional system are determined by an iterative procedure, which provides upper and lower bounds at each stage. The solution is based on a synthesis of two sub-systems and successive approximations for an eigenvalue have quadratic convergence. The method is extended to deal with distributed parameter systems as well as branched systems with a common point of intersection. © 1969.
