摘要
Two sets of transonic airfoil data were obtained from the same model tested in both porous, planar-wall and solid, shaped-wall wind tunnels. The published data agree resonably well with each other but differ significantly from two-dimensional, free-air Navier-Stokes calculations for the same airfoil. An existing computational wall interference assessment/correction (WIAC) procedure was applied to the porous- and shaped-wall data sets. The WIAC corrections generally improve the correlation between the two data sets. Simultaneously, the WIAC corrections also generally improve the correlation between the data and the Navier-Stokes calculations.
