摘要
In comparison to traditional dramaturgy, which starts from a situation and develops an idea from it in an indirect manner, Jean-Paul Sartre takes the opposite direction. An idea is set in advance and the writer's task is to develop a situation in which the idea will be best expressed. Profiles of his characters are not determined by their past, thoughts or wishes - because Sartre does not believe that this is what constitutes a person - they are developed on the scene, depending on the choices they make. Sartre transforms a notion of "situation of a man" into an aesthetic form he calls theatre of situation.
