摘要
Since the emergence of the Internet, ICT has been transforming the field of audiovisual arts in terms of both their creation and consumption. Virtual environments don't only comprise production and exhibition tools, but have also become established as new languages and new sources of experimentation. This work focuses on collaborative composition platforms available on-line and, subsequently, a specific analysis of the Poliedro platform as a clear example of virtual environments devoted exclusively to classical music, in particular to electroacoustic music. The objective is to better understand the collaborative composition processes on the Internet as well as to realise what concerns are raised among composers who use them. A content analysis of the different existing platforms has been followed and qualitative interview methodology has been carried out in depth for the case study. To conclude, such virtual environments are welcome and appreciated not only due to their impact on their groups of users, but also because of the likely transference to other types of cultural and artistic manifestations.
