摘要
1. 1. Oxidation of extra-mitochondrial NADH by rat skeletal muscle mitochondria, incubated with the cytosolic components of the malate-aspartate shuttle and the α-glycerophosphate shuttle, was studied. 2. 2. The rate of NADH oxidation by the reconstituted malate-aspartate shuttle was 50% higher than that obtained with the reconstituted α-glycerophosphate shuttle and could be further increased by addition of arsenite to the incubation medium. 3. 3. The inhibition of malate-aspartate shuttle activity by uncoupler is decreased in the presence of the reconstituted α-glycerophosphate shuttle. © 1979.
