摘要
Scalar densities which are concomitants of an asymmetric tensor of covariant valency 2, an asymmetric connection and its derivative, are examined in an effort to obtain the Einstein-Maxwell field equations from a variational principle based on such a Lagrangian. A particular Lagrangian is found that yields the desired result. In the process of the construction we are forced to identify the torsion vector with the electromagnetic potential. © 1979 The American Physical Society.
