摘要：
This essay intends to discuss the nature of the name and its metaphorical standard in the construction of the materiality of language in the subject. By analyzing the Joycean puns on the name of Sigmund Freud, I intend to prove how Joyce proposes a metaphorical and literary writing of analytic interpretation and makes it a raw material for the composition of Finnegans Wake.
