Meticulous assessment is needed to determine the cause of failure of a Latarjet procedure and to plan the appropriate treatment. Nonoperative treatment and soft-tissue procedures are indicated in selected cases. Soft-tissue procedures are indicated for patients without major osseous defects, especially when there is a hyperlax capsule or an undiagnosed multidirectional instability. Autogenous grafts from the iliac crest and distal part of the clavicle and allografts from the distal part of the tibia have demonstrated favorable outcomes in several studies.
