Effect of different dose of QuitoMax in the cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) plant growth

摘要
The experiment was carried out under laboratory conditions, in the Agricultural Sciences Faculty of the University of Granma, with the objective of evaluating the effect of QuitoMax over the germination of the seeds and the growth of cucumber plant. Four experimental variants were evaluated: concentrations of 1,5; 1; 0,5; 0,25 g L-1, in which the seeds were absorbed during 4 hours. The germination dynamics, height and green biomass, were evaluated fifteen days after germination. The results showed that there was effect of the concentration of QuitoMax in the germination dynamics. The seeds absorbed in the concentration 1,5 g L-1, they had the smallest time of germination and the best effect on the plant height. The green biomass was increased with the increase of the concentrations, being observed the biggest increase with the concentration of 1,5 g L-1 .
