SEPARATION AND DETERMINATION OF PESTICIDES IN SAMPLES OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPORTANCE .1.

Analytical investigations were carried out on four pesticides, methyl parathion, malathion, sumithion and methomyl. New spectrophotometric methods for determination of these pesticides were investigated. The new method is simpler, cheaper and faster. With this new method, methyl parathion could be determined down upto 1.1 ppb. Mixtures of these pesticides were separated using TLC techniques. The separation studies could be easily applied for the resolution, identification, followed by spectrophotometric determination in samples having traces of the mixture of these pesticides.
