LOW-FREQUENCY DISPERSION OF THE PERMITIVITY OF CONCENTRATED SUSPENSIONS OF IONITE PARTICLES

Calculations are performed to determine the low-frequency dispersion of the permittivity of monodisperse suspensions of spherical particles with a high volumetric or surface value of unipolar conductivity. The use of a cellular model makes it possible to go beyond the framework of a linear approximation of the volume fraction of particles and analyze the effect of this quantity on the low-frequency limit of permittivity, the critical frequency of the dispersion, and the form of the dispersion curves. The results that are obtained explain the observed features of the low-frequency permittivity of concentrated suspensions and makes it possible to determine the parameters of the internal structure of ion-exchange materials by means of the gel-intergel model from measurements of low-frequency dielectric dispersion.
