摘要
Tomographic reconstruction techniques have been applied to line-of-sight Fourier Transform infrared (FT-IR) emission and transmission measurements to derive spectra corresponding to small volumes within an ethylene diffusion flame. From these spectra, point values for species temperatures and relative concentrations have been determined for CO2, H2O, alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, and soot. In this article the methods that were used are described, and the results are reported and compared with previous determinations on similar flames. There is strong evidence that the soot temperature differs from the gas temperature at the same location, over large regions of the flame, with a maximum difference of 360 K (+/- 60 K) being observed.
