摘要：
Based on specific systems of social relations, cities are settlements having their own borderlines and also normative values and beliefs in these borderlines. Cities have special historical characteristics and have been developed in historical process. Every city has a particular culture. This study which emphasizes the notions of city archives, citizenship, citizenship culture, city archives samples in Turkey and city archives planning explains the significance of city archives in urban culture.
