摘要
:
The energy charge of Azotobacter vinelandii was measured and found to be poised at a value of 0.3. This value was expected in view of the rate of oxygen consumption observed in these resting cells. Adenine nucleotides and poly-β-hydroxybutyric acid were also determined and the relative amounts of these were used as a basis for speculation on long term survival of Azotobacter cysts in soil. *** DIRECT SUPPORT *** A01R4012 00003 © 1979 Springer-Verlag New York Inc.
