摘要
From a discrete-mechanical viewpoint, quantities of force and displacement for particles, contact points and voids are.defined and their relationships are explained. Extended incidence and loop matrices are introduced and it is shown that these matrices are a discrete form of Schaefer's differential operators used in generalized continuum mechanics. Void quantities are newly introduced, and it is explained that void force and void displacement correspond to stress function and incompatbility in continuum mechanics, respectively. Dualities existing in graphs of a granular assembly are also discussed.
