摘要
This article analyzes the situation of the protection of traditional knowledge, based on a review of rules, treaties and conventions at the international and regional level (Amazon countries). The analysis incorporates the advances that have occurred in each of the Amazon countries in regard to the use of figures of intellectual property and sui generis rules to protect it. The adoption of the Nagoya's Protocol in 2010, has generated expectations in the countries, favorable for some and not very favorable for others. Comparative analysis suggests that the Amazon countries should strengthen their legislations and joint work to address the problem that requires the participation of all stakeholders.
