摘要：

Currently, new and more respectful tourism types are emerging. Community tourism is one of these typologies and is characterized by helping the socioeconomic development of local communities. The objective of this research is to know the socio demographic profile of the rural communities of Puerto Plata and how they perceive the positive impacts derived from tourism. The tool for data collection was the questionnaire and the statistical program SPSS was used for its analysis. Among the conclusions, it is shown that the rural communities analyzed show that the positive impacts are highly valued.
