SURFACE SPECIES ON A SUBMICRONIC BORON-NITRIDE POWDER - A STARTING FT-IR CHARACTERIZATION

摘要
Surface species on a high specific surface boron nitride powder have been identified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. D2 and CH3OH used as probe molecules allow the characterization of several surface groups: OH and NH groups both coming from the hydrolysis of BN bonds, NH2 groups whose presence is due to ammonia in the preparation of the BN powder. A few CH3 groups have also been noticed
