摘要：

The present article is about a study which topic is the education of archival science in Brazil, in Rio Grande do Sul state, it is focused on the relation between the archival science and the history in academic formation in archival science. The text presents a panorama of the education of archival science in Brazil and of the reality of the courses of archival science of Rio Grande do Sul state. Also, it shows the perception of professors regarding the relation between the archival science and the history in the academic formation of these courses. Lastly, we argue it is essential to have studies focused on the translation of interdisciplinary realities that the archival science establishes with other sciences, even more in the ambit of the academic formation.
