摘要
We present a millimeter-wave survey of a flux-limited sample of IRAS sources lying within a 4 square degree region of the L1641 portion of the Orion A molecular cloud. The region was searched for high-velocity (CO)-C-12 emission from possible molecular outflow candidates and CS emission from dense cores in the vicinity of each IRAS source. A sample of 67 point sources selected from an IRAS survey co-add of the L1641 region were observed in the J = 1 --> 0 transition of (CO)-C-12, (CO)-C-13, C18O and the J = 2 --> 1 transition of CS. The width of the (CO)-C-12 line emission was found to correlate with the strength of the integrated CS emission. The observed sources include all seven previously known molecular outflows in L1641 and identified seven new candidate sources that have single position spectra indicative of an molecular outflow. The infrared properties of the embedded sources were investigated. The molecular outflow candidate sources tend to have redder 12-mu-m/25-mu-m colors and bluer 60-mu-m/100-mu-m colors than the nonmolecular outflow candidates. No apparent trend in the 25-mu-m/60-mu-m colors was observed. In a four-band IRAS color-color diagram, the molecular outflow candidates tend to be confined to the region defined by log (S12/S25) < 0 and -0.6 < log (S60/S100) < 0.
