摘要
In seismic prospection is required to know the seismic ray trajectory in the subsoil considering the different geological layers. Each layer has its own characteristic impedance, so propagation speed of waves varies with the layer depth. Furthermore, will exist reflections on those layer interfaces where a sudden change in depth happens. In this article, we describe a genetic algorithm that simulates the pathway followed by rays of a seismic ray. We conclude, the application of the algorithm reproduces the ray pathways with precision and acceptable processing times.
