The ultrasonic speeds for liquid trichlorofluoromethane (CCI3F) and 1,1-dichloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane (C2HCI2F3) were measured from 283 to 373 K and from 0.1 MPa or their saturated vapor pressure to about 75 MPa. The measurements were carried out by a sing-around technique operated at a frequency of 2 MHz with the uncertainly of +/- 0.2%. The temperature and pressure variation of ultrasonic speed and related properties are discussed.
