The performance of a TASI system is usually characterized by the fraction of freeze-out talkspurts of speakers. In the present investigation we analyze the process of information transmission in a TASI system in greater detail and introduce new performance characteristics of such systems. Explicit analytical expressions are obtained under the assumption that input subscribers' lines are continuously occupied, talkspurts and silence intervals are exponentially distributed. Further, we give an asymptotic analysis of a TASI system with large numbers of channels and subscribers.
