摘要
Organizations coexist in a highly convoluted and extremely challenging context; it is this scenery that forces us to rethink more dynamically about the huge challenges Latin-America's management has to face. Universities, as places of intellectuality, have the obligation of developing knowledge that can serve as a guide to cope with society's requirements. In that sense, the main purpose of this research is to provide background information and data which are capable of showing the responsibility Latin-American administrators have regarding gender inequality. The methodology applied in order to achieve this is chiefly based on the analysis of secondary sources. The results have allowed to conclude that this phenomenon is still present, despite any considerable advance that might have been experienced in the last few years. In fact, although women have spent more years in regular education, their role and participation in community activities of the region is still quite below men's.
