DECISION-MAKING SYSTEMS: GENESIS AND EVOLUTION

The present article it is the result of an investigation in which they are analyzed, they synthesize and they integrate subjects related to the taking decisions and the systems of support to this process. In the first part of the article the stages of the process of decision making are described, the involved actors and the possible problems that can be presented/displayed and that are associated with this process. In the second part, the different definitions of the systems appear from support from the decisions; a summary on the origin and evolutian of these systems thraughout more than four decades ofexistence; the form in which through this time they have been organized; its more important characteristics and finally its advantages and disadvantages.
