摘要
An intense electron beam energy recuperator of high efficiency is proposed. Transformation of a cylindrical beam into a disk-shaped one is shown to provide an opportunity of a substantial increase in the collector perveance. The use of an intermediate collector reduces the losses caused by paraxial electrons down to 3 × 10-4 of the total current. Also presented in this paper are the main experimental characteristics of a recuperator with a perveance of 40 μA/V 3 2, designed for an electron cooling device. © 1990.
